When your overalls are as soft as pajamas might as well sleep in them and then continue wearing them the rest of the day :p

>> No.6447

Well said. I do that as well overalls at night and then same pair next day only changing from one overalls to next. My are soft to do that and want to be overalls only(24/7) with small exceptions. Once i get there fully anything not overalls will be donated. You have the right idea

>> No.6448

I sometimes take naps in my Dickies Stonewashed overalls. They are very soft and also totally worn in. It is very enjoyable to wear them during the night. It is also very nice when you wake up and realize you have your overalls still on. Also the more you wear your overalls (that means the entire day and night), the softer and more worn in your overalls become. When you wear your overalls every day and night you can call yourself a true bibboy.

>> No.6449

Dutchbibboy is correct on all that. Overalls should be worn for sleep and throughout the day. He has helped me make the switch and i am better for it. On my way to overalls only and a true bibboy.

>> No.6450

I definitely did this when I was around 13 or so, since I wanted to get back into overalls at that age and got some Carhartt insulated overalls. I slept in them and they felt very comfortable because of the insulated down in the leggings.

Though I don’t wear my overalls much in bed now because I wear them throughout the day I’ll sometimes go to bed in them. I got my Berne overalls today so I can probably balance sleeping in them more often.

>> No.6451

I enjoy wearing my overalls during the day. However, when I am in bed, I find the feeling of the straps pulling on my shoulders uncomfortable. Maybe I could try unbuckling the straps and folding the bib down when I go to bed at night.

>> No.6452

Never tried that but that would be a good idea for our summers. If i am going to be overalls 24/7 i may have to try that with strapping back up in am. That said i love wearing in am and continuing into bedtime. I am working on the balance and once completed i will be strictly overalls only and nothing else.

>> No.6468

>>6451

There is a way to make overalls very comfortable when sleeping. Try out the following. Adjust the straps of the overalls a bit lower before going to sleep. The overalls will be lower now. Next you grab the sides of your overalls and pull them up high. While you keep the overalls high while you lay down on your bed. This way you dont feel the straps pulling on your shoulder anymore when laying down. Now you can enjoy your overalls during the night. Waking up in overalls the next day is really amazing. Do not forget to adjust the straps when waking up. You must adjust the straps so the overalls are fitting high again. Enjoy your day in overalls.

Those are some very nice snowbibs. I have a pair of Carhartt Insulated overalls (see picture). Although they are called "insulated overalls" they have the same cut as your snowbibs. I highly recommend buying a good pair of insulated overalls/snowbibs. They are very comfortable and enjoyable to wear. Snowbibs are very enjoyable to wear. This is because of the fact that the sides of such overalls go even higher than normal overalls. If you enjoy the enclosing feeling of overalls then you will certainly love snowbibs as well.

Some more information about snowbibs. Make sure the snowbibs fit your perfectly i.e. not too tight and not baggy. Some snowbibs have elastic straps. This can help when you want to wear them during the night so the straps don't pull to much on your shoulders. Just as sleeping with normal overalls, I advise you to follow the steps outlined in my comment above. With snowbibs you can do all kinds of cool combinations like wearing normal overalls underneath your snowbibs or even wearing a onesie/coveralls underneath your snowbibs or just a hoodie or T-shirt. Also be aware that you can get overheated pretty quickly in your snowbibs. Wearing snowbibs during the cold months is a good idea if you want to reduce heating costs which saves you money for more cool overalls.

Some cool snowbibs you might like are the ones from Carhartt (search for the term "Carhartt biberall" or "Carhartt insulated bib overalls" on Amazon or other website). The snowbibs made by the brand CrazySensations are also amazing.

You are wearing the overalls at a perfect height in image >>6388 . The overalls you're wearing in image >>6387 look good, but could be puled up higher. If I were wearing your outfit, I would have the top of the bib line up with the bottom of the hood part of the hoodie, right where the drawstrings come out.

Not sure how high you should wear your overalls? I use my shirt collar as a guide. The top of my overalls bib always comes up to my shirt collar.

>> No.6466

Those are actually at a perfect height. I wear only overalls and that brand and wear at that length.

>> No.6467

>>6465

That is a very good rule. With this rule you are certain that the overalls are at a decent height. When the overalls are high they feel much more comfortable and you feel you are really wearing overalls. However the height of the overalls changes when you sit and when you are standing. The overalls are often higher when you sit down. I suppose the overalls should also reach the collar of the T-shirt when standing?

>> No.6471

Just curious are you overalls only like me or do you prefer other a mixture of overalls and other things.

>> No.6473

I see what you mean. I guess I was referring to how the overalls should fit when you're standing up. If sitting down, the bib would sit higher, right? I like how your overalls fit while you are sitting down -- very handsome. >>6388

Thank you for the kind message. I also really like how your overalls fit. They fit your perfectly. Keep wearing your overalls like that!

Yes, that is correct when siting down the bib is always higher in comparison with standing straight up. Feel free to follow me on Instagram. My account name is: overalls5421.

I have adjusted the overalls higher. Below are some pictures of the same overalls but adjusted higher. It indeed feels much better to wear them higher. However I need to wear them more often at this height so I get more used to them.

@wlo75. Yes I only love to wear overalls and coveralls. But the overalls must be covering the entire body. Most fashionable "overalls" are just normal pants with straps attached to them. I refuse to call them "overalls". There are some good fashionable overalls like the classic ones made by Levis.

I love wearing Red Kap, though my fit is a bit loose I can fix that with putting a sweatshirt under it, I am thinking of getting a downsized one though. I love the flap closure of the bib pocket, I love the button fly and kind of prefer it to zipper fly, and I wear them out the most.

I usually use the bib pocket to store my sketching stuff, though if I wanted to bring my sketchbook then I’d have to use a bag. For small items though it eliminates the need of a bag and I regularly use it when on bike rides.

I’m comfortable wearing my overalls around the neighborhood and on bike rides but still warming up to school.

How did you explain to your parents about getting overalls for the first time? I want to but I don’t know if my parents will understand lol

I live with family and one day i said I wanted to go back to wearing overalls. My family took a look at a photo of what i wanted and initially said no but with persistence they eventually said that will look good on you go ahead and give a try. They were rvca’s and they were great. Eventually i lost weight and they became too big. That said i began stocking up as I knew i only wanted to wear overalls and nothing else. Family was good with it and I bought a bunch of em which include, levis, carharrt wip and peviani and overalls is the only thing i wear. All you have to do is tell em you want em with persistence like i did and now thats all i wear

I begged for a pair when i was 13, but mom thought i would be too bashful to wear them. Around 14, my grandma unexpectedly gave my 2 pairs that fit real well. I was bashful to wear them at first as it was summer. But the more i wore them, the more i liked them. Once i was brave enough i wore them to a friends house, then it was a lot easier to wear bib in public.

I started wearing overalls in my teenage years. They made me feel excited, but also super embarassed at the same time. The cool kids in school didn't wear overalls, so I always felt like standing out while wearing them. Especially as I dared myself to wear them openly without anything to cover them.

But I kept wearing them, even though I got bullied for it quite a lot. But I wanted to become a proper bibboy, so I kept with it. This site here helped me alot in doing so.

Also I found many overalls friends that way. Many of you seem a bit on the kinky side, but that's okay! I don't mind being lewded while wearing overalls. For me it has become part of being a proper bibboy! I hope to make many more friends in the future who feel the same way!

>> No.6395

Your story is the same as me. I wore in my teen years and got bullied a bit but stuck with it until college where i was forced to take a break due to dress codes on group projects. Flash to now i work from home and realized how much better overalls are and switched to overalls only. I am much better off and this site helped me get there. I am just a person who prefers overalls and loves to chat.

It's exciting and thrilling to wear overalls around other people, even though you may never see another person wearing them. There's no reason for people who really love wearing overalls to keep it a secret. Strapping yourself into your bibs and wearing them proudly tells people that you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and wear what you want to.

For post 6406. No need to keep a secret or hide. It is thrilling to wear overalls indeed. We need to be proud to wear overalls around others which i am. Since I switched to overalls only i get many compliments, i am more comfortable working from home and if i sleep in them i sleep better in em. I am better off in in overalls and soon plan do donate my jeans only keeping the overalls. Yours look good as well. Good chat with you and feel free to reach out anytime as i am always on here.

Wearing overalls is very exciting. They feel amazing to wear and look very cool.

The best part of the day is the moment you put on your bib overalls when you get up in the morning or when you get back home from work. The only thing you can think about are overalls. This only builds up the excitement. You can compare it to the anticipation to light up your first cigarette in the morning. You rush to your closet and take your favorite pair of overalls. You put your legs into the overalls and let the waist of the overalls rest around your hips. So far nothing special. It is like wearing your normal and boring pants. But now comes the exciting part of wearing overalls. It is time to pull the overalls up on your chest. I always like to do this part slowly so I can enjoy the feeling of the overalls climbing higher and higher on my chest. As you pull your overalls up higher you begin to experience more of that sweet enclosing feeling that overalls give. Finally the waist of the overalls is above the belly button and the bib almost touching your throat. Finally you are properly bibbed in your overalls. You sit back and enjoy the comfort the overalls provide. You then ask yourself: why not wear overalls all the time? Then you know for sure. You are a bibboy who loves his overalls.

I wear Carhartt wip as one of my brands and was wearing straps loose until today when I adjusted. Which do you like better.

I think your look in >>6393 looks the best and is perfectly adjusted. The bib is nice and high on the chest and the strap adjusters sit on top of your shoudlers. That's good to know. So, if you are looking for a good pair of overalls, you should look for a pair where the size of the bib and the crotch are almost the same. I've been looking to buy some fashion overalls. However, the product pictures on the store sites look different than standard overalls do. The crotch sections on them look short and the bib sizes seem to be quite small. If I were to pull the overalls as high as I wanted them, they would probably give me an uncomfortable wedgie feeling.

>> No.6367

Could not agree more. I always buy a mixture of both and have many brands. I wear overalls in all situations and plan to make it overalls only. Then means ii will wear to bed and each day and only change from one overalls to the next.

You are absolutely right. The length of the crotch must be at least the same as the length of the bib. Actually the crotch should be much longer than the bib. If the length of the crotch is shorter than the bib (as is the case with most fashionable overalls), the overalls won't be comfortable to wear.

The Osh Kosh overalls on the picture are a great example of overalls with a long crotch. When the crotch is nice long you can pull the overalls up very high to the point that the bib touches your throat. This is the best and most comfortable way to wear overalls because you feel your entire body being covered by the overalls.

Some of the overalls made by Osh Kosh, Dickies, Levis, etc have a long crotch. Another options is to buy overalls with a long inseam. Longer inseam means longer crotch (usually).

I have attached a picture of me in my Dickies Indigo Rigid W40 x 36" overalls. They are my favorite overalls and I enjoy wearing them every day. The crotch is super long and the bib touches very lightly my throat. Thus, come on guys and pull those overalls up high.

>> No.6369

I also love to wear overalls and I wear them almost every day. I'm not quite to the point where I feel comfortable wearing them openly in public. I wear overalls in public, but I put a hoodie or pull-over over the bibs so that no one can tell that I am wearing overalls. I have an obsession for the feeling of being enclosed in denim.

>> No.6370

You’ll get there soon . At first i was the same way. I only wore on weekends with them mostly covered up. When I began working from home i said no more and began wearing openly everyday. If its cold outside i tuck the pullover inside the overalls so the bib shows at all times and avoid jackets whenever possible. I love to wear overalls and have begun to dislike jeans and will eventually get rid of em. Overalls are the best way to go and should be worn openly. Just go for it and you’ll be fine and you’ll probably get compliments along the way like i did.

>> No.6371

>>6369
Wlo75 has given good advice how to start wearing overalls in public. I would add my recommendations which I gained from wearing my overalls in public. The first and most important step is to wear overalls every single day all the time. This is crucial because it will get you used to the feeling of wearing overalls. This way you become addicted to the feeling of the overalls and will start to love your overalls more and more. Eventually the love for overalls will overrule the fear of wearing overalls in public. Cover your overalls with a zip-hoodie. Make sure that people can see just a few centimeters of the top of the bib by lowering the zipper of the hoodie. Lower the zipper even more and more such that more of the beautiful front of the overalls get visible. The next step is to fully open up hoodie such that the overalls are completely visible. Everyone can now clearly see that you are not Joe Average wearing normal boring average pants. No, you are a overalls wearer who loves his overalls. If people can see the entire front part of the bibs, why not put off that hoodie so the entire bibs are visible. If people see the front of the bibs, they already know you are hiding overalls. There is no point in hiding it with a hoodie. You can just as well take off the hoodie en show your overalls proudly to everyone in public.

Wearing overalls in public is very intense but very enjoyable. If you reach the point where you wear overalls in public, you will want to do it again.

>> No.6372

He is right on that. If you add what he mentioned to what I mentioned you will be golden and wear overalls everyday openly. Be proud to wear overalls and you will probably get compliments as well. For me i take it a step further and sleep in Them as well as my goal is overalls only and only change from one overalls to the next pair. I

>> No.6374

I appreciate DutchBibBoy's advice for becoming more comfortable about wearing overalls in public. I love wearing my Dickies and I wouldn't want everybody to think that I am trying to hide them. However, when it comes to wearing overalls, my preferences are slightly different. I prefer wearing the shortest available inseam, which is "30". I have my straps adjusted so that the bottom of the bib and top of the crotch line up with my navel. When I sit down the top of the bib almost reaches my throat, but doesn't touch it. I like the cool jingle/jangle sound the buckles make when I move my shoulders. I always have the bib high on my chest. I wouldn't have it any other way.

>> No.6375

Dutchbibboy is right and well done on your end. I do the same by wearing the same way. I also wear a different pair everyday like he does as well and proudly show and say i wear overalls and proud of it. I get many compliments and folks stop and ask me where to buy as they need to wear. i am fully overalls only and tend to sleep in them as well so that i sleep and wear the next day changing into another overalls the next night. I do not wear jeans anymore and my philosophy is unless absolutely necessary if its not overalls i do not touch or wear. Also thank you to dutchbibboy for his advice as he has helped me as well.
